Paintings - Portraits
When given the opportunity I like to place the subject in a setting that reveals something about them. If I can, I try to reinforce this with there gesture, expression, and attitude. All this is easier if I can paint the figure full size in a natural setting. I realize that most people can't accommodate a painting of that size.
